I’m a baker-turned-watercolor and graphic artist. Being a native of the Pioneer Valley, there is an abundance of subject matter to paint. However I prefer to paint simple objects like fruit or animals. But one of my favorite things to paint are the desserts that I make. With that said, I dive right in and paint what calls out to me ranging from apples to cats to cake.
I also started collaborating with the very talented artist Don Carter (aka Edgar Allan Slothman) who recreates Audubon’s Birds of America prints in a modern, graphic style. The Slothman gave me the incredible opportunity to add my graphic, and sometimes even watercolor desserts to his birds. This unique pairing resulted in our series, Birds & Desserts.
